The TriboMed project is pleased to announce that Maria Martí Carrascosa, a second-year PhD researcher, received a Best Oral Student Presentation Award at the 2026 Spring Meeting of the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS), held in Strasbourg, France.
The award was presented within Symposium I: Nanogenerators and Smart Sensing Systems, a thematic session dedicated to the latest advances in energy harvesting technologies, nanogenerators, self-powered devices, and smart sensing systems. The symposium brought together international researchers from academia and industry to exchange recent progress in these rapidly evolving fields.
As part of the symposium’s student presentation awards, three outstanding oral contributions were selected for recognition. Each award was sponsored by a different leading scientific journal. Maria Martí Carrascosa received the award sponsored by Nano Energy, accompanied by a €400 prize, in recognition of the scientific quality and clarity of the presentation.
The awarded presentation, entitled “Towards Wafer-Scale Fabrication of Implantable TENGs”, showcased research developed within the TriboMed project, focusing on scalable fabrication strategies for implantable triboelectric nanogenerators and their potential applications in biomedical energy harvesting.
This recognition highlights the impact and relevance of the research conducted within the TriboMed project, as well as its contribution to advancing next-generation energy harvesting technologies. It also reflects the project’s commitment to supporting the scientific development of early-career researchers and promoting high-quality dissemination of research outcomes at leading international conferences.
